Prior to the age of internet, one would have to seek knowledge through books. The Royal Library of Alexandria was the largest and most important library of the ancient world. As a significant center for research and scholarships, the library was also responsible for harboring new knowledge, and the scholars filled the librarystacks with their findings in mathematics, astronomy, physics, philosophy, medicine, and textual criticism.

The great library burnt down sometime before 300 AD, and first 1700 years later, in 2003, was a new library at place. Behind the design is the Norwegian Snøhetta, and today Bibliotheca Alexandria is again a major center for culture and library. Not to mention a fantastic building – that we can admire thanks to the knowledge available on the internet. And remember, it is said that knowledge is power.
